Our mission: To support and enhance an individual’s relationship to Kink and BDSM through education and inclusivity. Kink Crate is the number one monthly subscription box for Kink and BDSM. Our company was started in 2016 by husband-and-wife team, Karl, and Cheyenne Williams. They were looking for a new investment strategy they could have fun with, and Kink Crate became the answer. Originally starting as a vibrator box for adventurous women, the company quickly took on a life of its own and became something very different.
Within the first year it turned from a vibrator box to a Kink and BDSM go-to resource, thanks to our networking with sexologist and educator Angel Russell, CSE (aka, Professor Sex). They provided our company education on the overall environment in the kink realm, as well as insight on how we could be inclusive and affirming to all who access our products, and it changed the path of Kink Crate forever. Educating ourselves by networking with folks like Angel is just as important to our mission as educating our members.
In accordance with our mission, we offer monthly education via our website and social media channels. We have What’s Inside the Crate (WITC) where Professor Sex walks you through what was included in that month’s crate along with tips on how to enjoy it to the max.
Also available on social media is our series, Kink Outside The Box, (KOTB) with Professor Sex. This is an educational series that focuses on a wide range of different topics related to Kink/BDSM, fetish, sexuality, gender, and sexual health. We cover definitions, unpack what makes something sexy or exciting, discuss how to negotiate consent and pleasure, and provide practical skills education. We will also provide education on additional topics like how to be an ally to your LGBTQ+ friends and family, understanding STIs and prevention, and other topics that are important but sometimes challenging to discuss.
In keeping with our mission, inclusivity is a high priority for us at Kink Crate. We want to ensure every (of age) human can enjoy our products without feeling left out or misunderstood. Our crates are designed to introduce subscribers to what’s possible, and to go beyond traditional notions of what’s playful, sexy, or kinky. This means each individual crate may not cater to the sexual whims of every person (your kink is not my kink, and that’s okay), though we aim to provide enough variety that there’s something exciting and playful for each of you, in every crate, every month. Perhaps more importantly, however, it’s essential to us that your overall experience with us and our products makes you feel safe, supported, and affirmed. This starts right from the ordering process. You’ll select a crate subscription based on your relationship dynamic (solo or partnered) and the body parts that will be involved in the play. This is designed with the most user-friendly and inclusive experiences possible in mind.
