We have the lovely July Cumming as our Wicked Pen Featured Author. She’s shared some naughty information with us about herself and her writing. We’re sure you’ll want all the dirty information she shared!
KC: Tell us a little about yourself.
July: I’m an adult entertainer, maybe a porn-star faker, more
like a naughty story maker. I’m not a fighter but a lover, I’m a smut writer
like no other. I make people squirm in their seat while they’re feeling the
heat. I’m a sit-down comedian, a polite Canadian, a true friend to the very
end. I’m a social butterfly, although I’m a tiny bit shy. I’m an indie author
mentor and promoter, an advisor to make you a little wiser. I’m a flirt and a
multitasker, working on becoming a master. I’m a procrastinator, innuendo
instigator, and a sassy teaser just to please ya.
KC: What was your favorite story to write and why?
July: As much as I love each of my stories, I would have to
narrow it down to “Bending Over For Jeff.” I wrote myself as the main character
and had fun doing it. The story is about an erotica author who’s summoned to
corporate headquarters to meet with the owner. Changes in pay have upset a lot
of people and “July” was a little too vocal about it on social media. Not only
is it a humorous tale, it’s an extremely dirty one as well.
KC: When did you start writing erotica and why?
July: I’ve been writing erotica now for three years. I have
fifteen short stories out, three of them under a different pen name. I also
have four stories that I’m working on and forty plus plots after that.
After being told many times in my life that I couldn’t do
something and that I wasn’t smart enough, I started to believe it. Never in my
wildest dreams did I think I’d become a writer. I always believed that I didn’t
have the imagination to do it, that was until someone read my first story. The
person loved it so much, they told me I should be writing erotica all the time.
I became determined to prove the naysayers wrong. I signed
up for six or so writing classes and pushed myself to learn as much as I could
over a span of six months. I ended up passing with A+’s, which was a complete
shock to me and the doubters.
KC: Tell us about your latest project.
July: My last two stories are the continuing tales of “July” in
Bending Over For You, and Bending Over For Me. The first one is about “July”
receiving an invitation to a BDSM convention. She’s the special guest of honour
and doesn’t know it. Bending Over For Me is the story told in the lead male
character’s point of view. Can you imagine what could happen to the star
attraction at a kinky BDSM event? These stories are perfect for anyone wanting
to get to know me a little more. I’m completely exposed!
KC: Do you have a favorite kink to write about?
July: I’m afraid I have too many favourites to have only one. I
fill my stories with kink. The majority of my work has domination, submission,
squirting, spankings or anal play.
KC: Who is your typical reader?
July: An erotica enthusiast. Someone who favours unbridled kink
that’s greased up gooey and a bit over-the-top.
KC: Anything else you would like to share with our
subscribers?
July: I’m currently studying five languages: Romanian, French,
Spanish, Italian and German. If I plan on travelling the world, it’s best to
come prepared.
